Sheriff Call Resolutions from The PDP Convention ''Null and Void''


Factional National Chairman of the PDP, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, has called the decisions reached at the purported National Executive Committee meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party ''null and void'' , while calling on party members of the opposition party to disregard the resolutions.

In a statement Sheriff issued  through his spokesperson, Mallam Inuwa Bwala, He said, “Even in an emergency situation, one week notice must be given to the national chairman, who has the sole responsibility to convene the NEC meeting.

“It is sad that, in the face of obvious disregard to court orders, which halted the convention, some individuals are bent on perpetrating impunity by taking steps to install another contraption on the PDP'' he added.

PDP, Ize-Iyamu jealous of my credentials – Obaseki

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, dismissed allegation by the Peoples Democratic Party that he received millions of naira as salaries as the head of the state’s economy and strategy team. The PDP state Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih, had during the party’s rally in Orhionmwon on Monday accused Obaseki of allegedly deceiving the citizens with claims that he (Obaseki) worked without any remuneration under the state government. Orbih had also displayed documents, which he claimed were vouchers for payments allegedly made to the APC candidate. But Obaseki, in a statement by the Director-General (Media and Publicity) of his campaign organisation, Abass Braimah, on Wednesday described the allegations as “tissues of lies”, adding that both the PDP and its candidate were “jealous” of his credentials and selfless service to the state. Lagos reiterates zero tolerance for criminal activities

The Lagos State Government has reassured residents, especially those in the troubled communities of its ability to combat crimes in all parts of the state. The state government said it still maintained its zero tolerance for criminal acts, while urging residents to remain calm as the Rapid Response Squad of the police in the state was on top of the current security challenges being faced by the locals. They urged residents to always volunteer vital information to security agencies to enable them to promptly discharge their responsibilities. “Information gathering is an integral part of security in the environment,” the state government said. The 18-year-old high school graduate proved that just because she lives in the White House and has the most famous parents in the world, doesn't mean she can't go out and have some fun—even if her fun also includes secret service (who were adorably dressed in some casual khakis and plaid shirts, LOL). A few fellow Lollapalooza partygoers who also happened to be at the Cashmere Catset caught a few photos and even a brief video (read: extremely shaky) video of Malia letting loose and dancing with her gal-pals.
