Is Rooney Leaving United Any Time Soon? Hmmm....

Wayne Rooney has been confronted with the pressure of proving that he is worth the keep as his current deal runs out in 2019 but he will reportedly not be offered a new contract for another 18 months.

He has been given that time to prove that he is worth an extension on his current £300,000-a-week agreement.The Captain has been hugely criticised for his performances in the past few months  and if it continues, his time at United could be nearing the terminus.

Many have labeled Rooney as "overweight and slow" even as he endured a difficult last season under Louis van Gaal and has faced criticism for his physical decline.

Not leaving out the eminent fact of the massive acquisitions made by Jose Mourinho and  following the arrivals of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Rooney faces a huge task just holding on to his starting spot at Old Trafford.
