Liverpool to Jostle AC Milan for Ajax winger Anwar El Ghazi

Reds have shown signs of interest in signing 21-year-old Ajax winger Anwar El Ghazi who netted 11 times in 27 appearances for the Dutch giants last term.

Reports also has it that AC Milan are also fighting to land El Ghazi's signature, while fellow Serie A side Lazio have also shown some body languages in the same struggle.

Ajax are believed to want to start negotiations for the player at around £15million.

Meanwhile, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists Sadio Mane's shoulder injury is not as serious as first thought. The Senegalese winger sustained the injury while training, handing Klopp a blow after his superb debut performance in the 4-3 victory against Arsenal.

Klopp left some comments saying : “It was a situation, a challenge between two players up in the air, coming down and then Sadio fell on his shoulder but it’s not that serious,”

"In this moment, I have no idea if he could be available for the weekend or not. The shoulder injury is not as serious as first thought.

Crystal Palace have accepted a £27m fee for Liverpool forward Christian Benteke. The Eagles have been shopping for a centre-forward all summer and seem to have eventually found their guy.

The deal will include add-ons that could see the fee go past £30m, allowing the Reds to recoup most of the £32.5m they paid Aston Villa for the 25-year-old last year.

Palace have previously had a bid of £23m with £7m worth of add-ons rejected by the Merseysiders, but now they have struck a deal that suits all parties.

Benteke has netted nine goals in 29 Premier League appearances for Liverpool since joining from Villa, but once Jurgen Klopp arrived to replace Brendan Rodgers, the Belgian failed to earn his spot.
