PDP defies court order, insists convention will hold

The Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, has made public that the party’s national convention will go on unhampered as scheduled.

He said that the court order barring the party's forthcoming convention from sliding through was not superior to the order the party received from Port Harcourt earlier in the day giving the full veto to hold the convention.

Senator Makarfi went on to state that the Court of Appeal will settle the issue in subsequent times.
