Law Programme of National Open University Suspended

Months after students’ protests, the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) alas pronounced the suspension of admissions into its law programme. Prof. Abdallah Adamu, NOUN’s Vice Chancellor, cited that the exclusion of the university’s law graduates by the Council of Legal Education (CLE) from the Nigerian Law School informed the decision.
The National Universities Commission (NUC) had also urged that students be stopped from enrolling for the law programme, pending the resolution of the stalemate between NOUN and the CLE on the suitability of the students for admission into the Nigerian Law School.
