Mourinho calls Zlatan Ibrahimovic "phenomenal"


Jose Mourinho has called Zlatan Ibrahimovic "phenomenal" after scored his first goal for Manchester United sequel to goals from Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney putting United in the driving seat as the team topped the table after the opening weekend of fixtures.

Astonished Mourinho praised summer arrival Ibrahimovic at full-time and insists that the Swede's eyes are only on one thing.

"It's incredible how Zlatan Ibrahimovic has never won the Golden Ball," he said

"He wants to win the Premier League, not the Golden Ball."

"This guy is more than a player. For the next two seasons I think he can be phenomenal for the team and the Premier League." he added.

PDP, Ize-Iyamu jealous of my credentials – Obaseki

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, dismissed allegation by the Peoples Democratic Party that he received millions of naira as salaries as the head of the state’s economy and strategy team. The PDP state Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih, had during the party’s rally in Orhionmwon on Monday accused Obaseki of allegedly deceiving the citizens with claims that he (Obaseki) worked without any remuneration under the state government. Orbih had also displayed documents, which he claimed were vouchers for payments allegedly made to the APC candidate. But Obaseki, in a statement by the Director-General (Media and Publicity) of his campaign organisation, Abass Braimah, on Wednesday described the allegations as “tissues of lies”, adding that both the PDP and its candidate were “jealous” of his credentials and selfless service to the state. Lagos reiterates zero tolerance for criminal activities

The Lagos State Government has reassured residents, especially those in the troubled communities of its ability to combat crimes in all parts of the state. The state government said it still maintained its zero tolerance for criminal acts, while urging residents to remain calm as the Rapid Response Squad of the police in the state was on top of the current security challenges being faced by the locals. They urged residents to always volunteer vital information to security agencies to enable them to promptly discharge their responsibilities. “Information gathering is an integral part of security in the environment,” the state government said.
