FIFA Loose Former President Havelange at 100


João Havelenge, former FIFA president and IOC member has died at 100. He was born on May 8, 1916.

The former Athlete was a Brazilian businessman and  lawyer who was the second longest-serving FIFA’s president and the seventh FIFA president, between 1974 and 1998. He served as a member of the International Olympics Committee(IOC) from 1963 to 2011.
Havelenge was also the longest-serving active member upon his resignation.

Parents call for the swapping of Chibok girls for Boko Haram detainees

This was as a follow up to the video of the girls as was released by the sect on Sunday. Boko Haram captured more than 200 of the 276 final-year girls it abducted from Government Secondary School, Chibok, in Borno State, in April 2014. Some of them escaped, but 215 girls remain missing. In May 2016, one of them, Amina Ali, was rescued. Jean Ping Declares Himself President Of Garbon

Gabon opposition leader Jean Ping on Friday declared himself the rightful president while demanding for a vote recount,48 hours after incumbent Ali Bongo was announced the winner of a weekend and election was returened re-elected throwing the central african nation into crisis. “I am the president, ” Ping told a press conference at his home in Libreville late Friday, calling for a recount from every polling station.
