Chelsea's Radar Spot £22million Wolfsburg's Ricardo Rodriguez

The blues are eyeing a move for Wolfsburg's £22million-rated defender Ricardo Rodriguez before the transfer window closes. Chelsea's manager Antonio Conte is in want of a new left-back after allowing Baba Rahman to join Schalke on loan, which has left the versatile Cesar Azpilicueta - who was signed as a right-back - as their only senior option for the position.
Chelsea have also probed for Cologne's Germany full-back Jonas Hector but with Hector extending his contract last week, which would increase the price of any deal for the Cologne man, Rodriguez is another option for the blues.

The Swiss international, whose current deal terminates in 2019, has already told club chiefs he wants to exit Wolfsburg this summer and has attracted attention from Arsenal , Roma and Real Madrid but Chelsea have emerged as the one club willing to match Wolfsburg's £22m valuation of the 23 year-old.
Rodriguez has played over 150 times for Wolfsburg, scoring 20 goals, since joining from FC Zurich in 2012 and has been a formidable cum consistent performer for the Bundesliga club and also developed a reputation for being a dead-ball specialist.
