Crystal Palace To Secure James McCarthy's Signatory Should Everton Lower The £20million Asking Price

Crystal Palace are eager to seal the move deal on Everton midfielder James McCarthy 25, with the Ireland midfielder set on leaving Goodison Park.
The Eagles are in need for an upgrade on departed club captain Mile Jedinak, and deems McCarthy, a perfect fit after being priced out of a move for Newcastle United’s Moussa Sissoko.
On the flip side, the Magpies are ready to rival Palace for McCarthy’s signature but it is the Premier League side who have a trump up their sleeve in the shape of James McArthur.
Scotish McArthur played alongside McCarthy for Hamilton Academical for three years and the two remains firm friends. Whereas the Toffees are asking £20million for McCarthy and want a replacement in before letting him leave, sources close to the player are convinced that he will not be at Everton this time next week and that the asking price will drop.
The 25-year-old midfielder was distinctly not included in the squad to play Stoke City in this weekend’s encounter.
