Emotions As Buhari Speak With Kano Governor In A Unique Language

With regards to the health status of President Muhammada Buhari, there are indications that the he is much better now. In a recent telephone conversation with Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State, during a prayer session at Africa House, Government House, Kano, Buhari told the Governor over the phone that he is feeling better.

Mr. President seized the occasion to extend his appreciation to Nigerians for their goodwill and prayer, while disclosing that his condition has improved. It was gathered, Buhari spoke with the governor in vernacular in the three phone call.

The governor asked Mr. president; “how are you feeling now Your Excellency?
and the president replied; “Alhamdulillah (all praise be to Allah)”,


The Kano governor, assured Buhari during the prayer session, which was broadcast live by local radio stations that Islamic Imams and Muslim scholarsare ere constantly praying for his quick recovery and  the President remarked “Maa shaa Allah”, meaning, “God willed it”, an Arabic phrase used to show appreciation for a person or happening and is evoked upon hearing good news.

Mr.President also expressed the hope that Allah will haken to the prayers and asked the governor to in turn extend his best wishes to the Islamic scholars.

According to Ganduje, from the way the President spoke, his health has greatly improved, expressing the hope that he will be back on his fit soon.

“We prayed for Buhari to win and he won. It is now mandatory on us to rally round his government and pray for his wellbeing”, the governor said.
