Buhari's LONDON Vacation, His Return, The Extension, Further Extension & The Test Results

Recall, on February 6, a day he was expected back at his duty post at the Aso Villa, following what was meant to be a 10-day official vacation, Buhari wrote the National Assembly asking it to further-extend his stay away from work on medical grounds.
The indefinite extension of his vacation sparked up divergent views and speculations in the polity. Some Nigerians argued that he has the right to medical vacations abroad even as the Country's number one citizen and urged Nigerians to pray for his safe return. While others believed that a some elites and cabal had started holding the country to ransom and cautioned that Nigerians should not be taken for a ride.
The letter which was transmitted to the National Assembly stated that the extension was to enable him complete and receive the results of a series of tests recommended by his team of medial specialists abroad.
On the authority of the then statement as released by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina:
“The President had planned to return to Abuja this evening, but was advised to complete the test cycle before returning. The notice has since been dispatched to the Senate President, and Speaker, House of Representatives. Mr. President expresses his sincere gratitude to Nigerians for their concern, prayers and kind wishes.”
Finally The Test Results Are Out
The much awaited test results of Mr.President have been released by the medical experts who are monitoring him in United Kingdom. The results which were released today suggests that the 74, year former military leader will be needed more time to rest.
President's aide and spokesman, Mr. Adesina made this known in a recent statement which he released to intimate the country on their leaders state of well being at the moment;
His statement partly read...
'the results of the series of medical checkups President Buhari carried out in the course of his medical vacation had shown that he needed a longer period of rest.
According to the news, it is factual to say that Buhari will be staying back in London, much longer than initially planned. However, he did not make known further details about the test results.
No doubt more rumours are looming. Speculations about the health status of Our President are clearly inevitable as it is.
Over the weekend, some online sources had reported that Buhari’s doctors have advised him to relegate the plan of returning soon to the daily stressing routine of running Nigeria on account of the gravity of his illness.
Albeit, it is now the third time Buhari is postponing his return date even as several government officials and his close aides have continued to characterize him as “hale and hearty,” insisting that he was still on vacation and would soon return to Nigeria.
Adesina's recent press release continued...
“President Muhammadu Buhari thanks millions of Nigerians who have been sending good wishes and praying for his health and well-being in mosques and churches throughout the country.
“The President is immensely grateful for the prayers, show of love and concern.
“President Buhari wishes to reassure Nigerians that there is no cause for worry.
“During his normal annual checkup, tests showed he needed a longer period of rest, necessitating the President staying longer than originally planned.”
Hmmm...its indeed very difficult being the presidential spokesperson at the moment. Because Nigerians are very intelligent people and they are very eager to find out the true health status of their leader.
