They Will Not Take My Life, I Am Not Scared, I’m Not Intimidated... I Will Not Be Silenced - Femi Fani-Kayode


Ex-minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode who was re-arrested on Friday by the EFCC, as he left the Federal High Court premises in Lagos, speaking to the press while being taken away mentioned a few things even as he appeared bold and fearless.
In his words: “They will not take my life, I am not scared, I’m not intimidated (and) I will not be silenced.

 “I am very proud of the fact that the Nigerian people are beginning to understand what is going on in this country.

 “They can re-arrest me a thousand times, torture me, lock me up, beat me, deprive me of food and my phones; they can do anything to me, I will never change.”

Man kills himself, two others in Imo

The Imo State Police Command, in eastern Nigeria, has confirmed the death of three persons at Akokwa community in Ideato Local Government Area on Friday. DSP Andrew Enwerem, the Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the incident said others sustained injuries. He explained that an unidentified man, said to be from the northern part of Nigeria, had run amok and killed a girl and a woman and thereafter killed himself. He said some aggrieved youths immediately went for reprisal attacks, leading to some other persons sustaining various degrees of injuries. Enwerem said the Commissioner of Police, on receiving reports of the the incident, deployed anti-riot policemen who stopped the incident from spreading further. “Report to police showed that a yet to be identified northerner ran amok at Akokwa community and used weapons to attack and kill a girl and a woman and thereafter killed himself’’, he said.
