Gov. Obiano Respond To Claims That He Was Planning To Dump APGA For The Ruling APC


Chief Willie Obiano The Executive Governor of Anambra State has debunked in its entirety claims that he was planning to join the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC‎ at the expence of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) of which he hithertho remains the leader and chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT).
The governor speaking through Ogbuefi Tony Nnachetta, Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Communication Strategy,affirmed his firm resolve to build and stregnthen his party to gain national coverage and was never at any time thinking of dumbing the party that brought him as governor.

Obiano seized the moment to submit: “In addition to building and lifting up APGA, he is concentrating on his mandate as governor of Anambra State and focusing on the best ways to enable the state overcome challenges of the national economic downturn.” while adding that apart from reports making rounds in the social and traditional media platforms; he has being recieving calls from many concerned Nigerians and Anambrarians who were eager to know if he was planning 'APG-exit' as it were.

The BoT Chairman urged members of APGA faithful across the nation and abroad to “disregard such rumour as APGA is poised, not only to retain its hold on Anambra, but also, expand the gains and inroads it has been making in other states in and outside the South East.”
