Buhari Was Only Joking By What He Said About Wife, Aisha - Presidency


As the banters and criticisms heighten, the presidency came public to explain the controversial remarks made by the president about the place of his wife in his life, saying Mr. Buhari was only joking.

Last Friday night, the senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Garba Shehu, took to twitter to issue some statements to clarify the remarks of Buhari which is about breaking the internet. He tweeted:

“My friends, can’t a leader get a sense (of) humour anymore? Mr. President laughed before that statement was made,” 

 “He was obviously throwing a banter.

 “Mr. President respects the place of women in our society. He believes in the abilities of women.

 “Politics sometimes should be spiced with humour. Those of us around him know there is never a dull moment with him.

 “One of Nigeria’s most sensitive office today is headed by a woman, Mrs. (Kemi) Adeosun. This is an evidence of the confidence he reposes on women.”

Hajiya Aisha Abubakar, the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, has called on the U.S. to support Nigeria to attract more investors into the country. Abubakar made the call when the officials of Nigerian- American Chamber of Commerce paid her a courtesy visit in Abuja on Friday. ``America is a world leader in terms of investment and we will need your support in assuring investors that Nigeria is open and safe for business,’’ she said. Abubakar said there has been a lot of improvement in the relationship between the two countries in the last one year. Man on trail launches attack, tries to stab prosecutor amid court session

Indeed was horrendous moment. A sex offender lunged at prosecutors in a courtroom in an attempt to stab them. CCTV footage shows Joshua Harding, 35, producing a 'shank' from his sleeve before running across the Veterans Memorial Courthouse in Michigan on Tuesday. The 35-year-old, who has since been found guilty of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, then appears to try and stab Jonathan Roth, an assistant prosecutor. The tip of Harding, who had arrived at the court from Ingham County Jail, was then tackled to the floor and handcuffed by a group of security guards - one of which obtained facial injuries.he weapon misses the face of the Roth by centimetres as Harding is According to WLNS , the 35-year-old, who is set to be sentenced on September 21, may now face further changes for the attack.
