Dangote Futher Expand; Acquires Oil Refinery In The Netherlands


Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has added to its huge acquisitions an oil refinery Twister B.V. located in the Netherlands.The $12 billion refinery would have a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day.
In his words. The President & CEO Dangote Industries Limited Aliko Dangote stated: “This was an important acquisition for us. Twister’s cutting edge gas processing technology is fundamental to delivering our strategy to unlock about 3 bcfd of gas in order to meet Nigeria’s gas needs.”

Twister B.V. Hithertho was owned by Shell Technology Ventures Fund 1, before its recent acquisition by DIL in partnership with First E&P.

Bakare slams northern elders opposing restructuring

The General Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has slammed Northern elders who are opposed to the call for Nigeria’s restructuring. Speaking on Friday in Ibadan at an event organised to mark the 50th year anniversary of the assassination of the first military governor of the defunct Western Region, Lt.-Col. Adekunle Fajuyi, he said any anti-restructuring position taken by the North would bring to the court of historical opinion the sincerity of the motives of the perpetrators of the counter coup that led to the death of Fajuyi in 1966. Bakare said, “The elders of the North, who today are opposed to the call to restructure Nigeria, have deviated from the ideals of the founding fathers of Northern Nigeria like the late Sir Ahmadu Bello and Tafawa Balewa. 17 schools connected with terrorism, Turkish Ambassador to Buhari

The Federal Government of Nigeria was on thursday alerted by  Turkish envoy to the existence of schools allegedly owned by suspected terrorists and want them shut down. Turkey said it had officially notified the Nigerian government “to the existence of 17 of such schools in Nigeria, which bear the name of Turkey” but were not owned by the European country. The country said the institutions, which ranged from schools to hospitals, were allegedly owned by the Fethullah Gulen Terrorist Organisation allegedly founded by Fethullah Gulen  The Turkish government, which stated that the country  did not own any school in Nigeria, said similar schools established in Turkey had been shut down.
