WapTv Unveils 'Love Battle'


Another fascinating programme tagged Love Battle has hit the screen as wapTV, aired the premiere episode on the channel last Friday.

In each episode of Love Battle, one male and one female average Nigerian engage in a fun debate centred on love, relationships, marriage etc.

WapTV stated, “The show is broadcast live, thus giving viewers all over the world the opportunity to interact with the comical Akunna (the host of the show) and the two panellists of the day, as they the air their own views on the topic via phone calls and social media.”

The Managing Director of the company did not hesitate to leave some comments.

 In his words “We are always coming up with fresh ideas to give our diverse viewers the top-notch quality entertainment that they deserve. Love Battle is a hilarious and enlightening concept; to be enjoyed in the company of your friends and family members while discussing the topics playfully amongst yourselves.”

The programme airs every Friday 7:30 – 8:30PM on wapTV, StarTimes 116, Consat 812, StarSat 189 and MyTV.

Man kills himself, two others in Imo

The Imo State Police Command, in eastern Nigeria, has confirmed the death of three persons at Akokwa community in Ideato Local Government Area on Friday. DSP Andrew Enwerem, the Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the incident said others sustained injuries. He explained that an unidentified man, said to be from the northern part of Nigeria, had run amok and killed a girl and a woman and thereafter killed himself. He said some aggrieved youths immediately went for reprisal attacks, leading to some other persons sustaining various degrees of injuries. Enwerem said the Commissioner of Police, on receiving reports of the the incident, deployed anti-riot policemen who stopped the incident from spreading further. “Report to police showed that a yet to be identified northerner ran amok at Akokwa community and used weapons to attack and kill a girl and a woman and thereafter killed himself’’, he said.
