N1m Worth Of Footwears Docks Two Security Guards, N250,000 Bail Each


An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court  has given its verdict on two security guards, Kudoro Segun, 27, and Oloruntan Akanni, 25, who reportedly stole their employer’s 40 bags of footwears valued at N1million.  The court granted the duo bail to the tune of N250, 000 and two sureties each.

The accused are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.

The Magistrate, Mrs Omolade Awope said the sureties must be gainfully employed and should show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government. While reitareting that the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction.

The case was however adjourned till October 10 for mention.

The prosecutor, Inspector Ezekiel Ayorinde disclosed to the court that the accused committed the offences in July at Chengfa Footwear Ltd Obasa Street Ikeja, Lagos. Alleging that the suspects stole the 40 bags of footwears from the company’s warehouse.
