Buhari has 11 Jets, The Dream Team Shouldn’t Be Stranded In Atlanta – Ben Bruce


The Common sense crooner, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, lawmaker representing Bayelsa east senatorial district, has said that Nigerian soccer team should not have been stranded in Atlanta when the president has 11 jets.

Mr. Bruce said: “I’m reading about the trouble our athletes have in getting to Rio for the Olympics. We have 11 presidential jets. This shouldn’t be an issue”

“1 or 2 of our 11 presidential jets could have been dedicated to #TeamNigeria to ease the difficulty facing them in getting to #RioOlympics,” he wrote on Twitter.

Bakare slams northern elders opposing restructuring

The General Overseer of Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has slammed Northern elders who are opposed to the call for Nigeria’s restructuring. Speaking on Friday in Ibadan at an event organised to mark the 50th year anniversary of the assassination of the first military governor of the defunct Western Region, Lt.-Col. 17 schools connected with terrorism, Turkish Ambassador to Buhari

The Federal Government of Nigeria was on thursday alerted by  Turkish envoy to the existence of schools allegedly owned by suspected terrorists and want them shut down. Turkey said it had officially notified the Nigerian government “to the existence of 17 of such schools in Nigeria, which bear the name of Turkey” but were not owned by the European country. The country said the institutions, which ranged from schools to hospitals, were allegedly owned by the Fethullah Gulen Terrorist Organisation allegedly founded by Fethullah Gulen  The Turkish government, which stated that the country  did not own any school in Nigeria, said similar schools established in Turkey had been shut down.
