A 26-year-old Nigerian lady named Kelechi Anyadiegwu who lives in New York, has become a viral internet sensation. Her business idea which led to the birth of online African clothing store Zuva allowed her to invest $500 into what, at the time, seemed like a small effort. However, two years down the line, her small business has raked in about $2 million in sales earning her a spot on Forbes’ 30 under 30 list. What started with a compliment turned one young woman’s idea into a million dollar business. When Kelechi Anyadiegwu started her online African clothing store Zuvaa with $500 two years ago, her idea was to share African-inspired designs with consumers around the world. Zuvaa is estimated to make $2 million in sales in 2016. PDP, Ize-Iyamu jealous of my credentials – Obaseki

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, dismissed allegation by the Peoples Democratic Party that he received millions of naira as salaries as the head of the state’s economy and strategy team. The PDP state Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih, had during the party’s rally in Orhionmwon on Monday accused Obaseki of allegedly deceiving the citizens with claims that he (Obaseki) worked without any remuneration under the state government. Orbih had also displayed documents, which he claimed were vouchers for payments allegedly made to the APC candidate. But Obaseki, in a statement by the Director-General (Media and Publicity) of his campaign organisation, Abass Braimah, on Wednesday described the allegations as “tissues of lies”, adding that both the PDP and its candidate were “jealous” of his credentials and selfless service to the state. Lagos reiterates zero tolerance for criminal activities

The Lagos State Government has reassured residents, especially those in the troubled communities of its ability to combat crimes in all parts of the state. The state government said it still maintained its zero tolerance for criminal acts, while urging residents to remain calm as the Rapid Response Squad of the police in the state was on top of the current security challenges being faced by the locals. They urged residents to always volunteer vital information to security agencies to enable them to promptly discharge their responsibilities. “Information gathering is an integral part of security in the environment,” the state government said. Malia Obama Proves She's Just Like Everyone else While Partying at Lollapalooza

Barack and Michelle Obama were tearing it up with their epic speeches at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia earlier this week, and now, their oldest daughter Malia Obama is turning up with her pals at Lollapalooza in her hometown of Chicago. The 18-year-old high school graduate proved that just because she lives in the White House and has the most famous parents in the world, doesn't mean she can't go out and have some fun—even if her fun also includes secret service (who were adorably dressed in some casual khakis and plaid shirts, LOL). A few fellow Lollapalooza partygoers who also happened to be at the Cashmere Catset caught a few photos and even a brief video (read: extremely shaky) video of Malia letting loose and dancing with her gal-pals. This isn't the first time Malia has attended the popular music festival. She was also spotted at Chance the Rapper's set back in 2014.
