Buhari Is Fully Back & In-Charge; Resumed Work Today
Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari after a 50-day UK vacation is back on duty. The Commander -In-Chief was spotted in Aso Villa, as he resumed duty today, Monday 13th March 2017.
Buhari dispatched a letter to the National Assembly informing it of his return back to duty. He met with the vice President on Monday who briefed him on the scheme of things and some of his activities as acting president while he was away.
This invariably means that Osinbajo is back to his regular position as the Vice president and after updating Mr.President on national and international issues as they concerned the country, Buhari gave specific directives on the next steps to be taken.
The vice president also seized the moment to affirm that the President is ready to work. In his words. Osinbajo said:
“He’s held a meeting with me for well over an hour now where we discussed a wide range of issues.
“So, his readiness for work isn’t in doubt at all. As a matter of fact, I think he is over ready.
On whether the president was impressed with his performance as acting president, he said President Buhari “was reasonably satisfied’’.
He vehemently dismissed the assertion that there might be a lot of delegation of duties to him, due to the health of the president.
