Buhari Appoints New Heads For Aviation Agencies, NAMA, AIB, NiMet, NCAT

President Muhammadu Buhari recently fired the heads of four parastatals, leaving only the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Engr. Saleh Dunoma. Relacements for the sacked heads were anounced yesterday as contained in a statement issued by Sabiu Zakari, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.

 Capt. Fola C. Akinkuotu was named the Managing Director, Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) to replace Mr. Emmanuel Anasi who is retiring soon.

Also, Prof. Sani Abubakar Mashi was appointed the new Director-General, Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet). A professor of Geography with specialty in environmental application of remote sensing, Mashi is currently a Deputy Vice Chancellor at the University of Abuja.

In the development, Capt. Abdulsalam Mohammed, as the Rector, Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria. Kaduna State.

Engr. Akinola Olateru is now the Commissioner, Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB).
