Ailing Nollywood Veteran, Prince James Uche To Smile Again As Abia Governor Came To His Rescue

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, has come to the rescue of ailing Nollywood Veteran, Prince James Uche who has been down with Kidney failure. The actor is to recieve the sum of 14 million naira from the governor to enable him carry out a kidney transplant.

It was gathered that the Governor personally donated the sum of N 3million and the first Lady of Abia State also gave N 1million while the state raised 10 million naira for the actor. Uche will soon be flown abroad, as the money for his treatment is almost complete.

Its just an amazing news! Many of his fans can't wait to see him back on his feet again to grace their TV secreens. Big Ups to Abia Governor. He is a life saver!

Man kills himself, two others in Imo

The Imo State Police Command, in eastern Nigeria, has confirmed the death of three persons at Akokwa community in Ideato Local Government Area on Friday. DSP Andrew Enwerem, the Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the incident said others sustained injuries. He explained that an unidentified man, said to be from the northern part of Nigeria, had run amok and killed a girl and a woman and thereafter killed himself. He said some aggrieved youths immediately went for reprisal attacks, leading to some other persons sustaining various degrees of injuries. Enwerem said the Commissioner of Police, on receiving reports of the the incident, deployed anti-riot policemen who stopped the incident from spreading further. “Report to police showed that a yet to be identified northerner ran amok at Akokwa community and used weapons to attack and kill a girl and a woman and thereafter killed himself’’, he said.
