Ondo PDP Looses Two Top Members To APC Towards Guber Polls; Two Mimiko's Aides Resign For The Cross-Carpet Move

Two of Governor Mimiko's aides has reportly resigned. Mrs Aderonke Morolayo, Special Assistant on Political Matters and Mr Victor Ojo, Special Assistant on Mobilisation resigned to join the opposition APC ahead of Nov. 26 governorship poll in Ondo state.
Aderonke in her letter of resignation dated Nov. 2, 2016 and addressed to the governor, Morolayo made some eye-popping disclosures; “this is to formally inform Your Excellency of my resignation from the government of Ondo State due to circumstances beyond my control.

“Your Excellency, let me also use this medium to thank and appreciate you for counting me worthy to serve the good people of Ondo state in this capacity.’’

The ex-political aide unhesistantly informed the governor that his decision to have his successor from the Central Senatorial District, where he hailed from, would make Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to lose the Nov. 26 governorship poll.

Meanwhile, the duo on Wednesday formally declared their membership of the APC. Pledging their support to work for the success of  party in the election.

On the flipe side, a statement by the Ondo state APC’s Publicity Secretary, Mr Abayomi Adesanya, said the two politicians were received into the party by the deputy governorship candidate in the forthcoming election, Mr Agboola Ajayi.

Ajayi siezed the moment to assure the decampees of equal opportunities while urging them to work assiduously for the victory of APC in the November Guber poll and by entention the progress in the state.
