Reuben Abati, a renowned journalist and presidential spokesperson to former president Jonathan has been arrested by the EFCC. It was gathered the former presidential aide was on Monday brought in by the anti-graft agency. There are indications he would pass the night there.
Abati is reportedly been squizzed for allegedly receiving some money from former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
Dasuki is currently facing arms deal fraud charges by the EFCC for his alleged mismanagemet of arms funds in what is today labeled #Dasukigate.
Abati’s arrest sums it up to three former president Jonathan's aides currently remanded in EFCC net. One of them is Musiliu Obanikoro, former Minister of State for Defence, who voluntarily turned himself in after being away in the U.S since mid-2015.
