Man Commit Suicide In Edo; Hang Self
A yet to be identified middle-aged man has in the early hours of Friday reportedly killed himself by hanging at the Ogida area of Benin, Edo state.
The corpse was found dangling from the ceiling of a sawmill in the market. Witnesses said the man was earlier seen in the area looking moody, unknown to them that he had a plan to take his life. They said cooked beans and loaves of bread, including some cloths were found beside his lifeless body.
It is yet to be uncovered the actual cause of this ugly incident or what could have forced the deceased to take his life, as he did not leave a suicide note behind.
Edo State Police Command Spokesman, Theodore Okafor, who confirmed the incident, said that the corpse had been deposited in a mortuary for a possible post-mortem.
