ENUGU: Heavy Traffic As Seen This Evening At New Haven Junction As Customers Throng Popular Food Joint ' NTACHI-OSA'


A major gridlock was witnessed in New Haven junction Enugu this evening. The traffic jam was epic as customers throng a popular food place called 'NTACHI-OSA'  for diner.


Traffic controllers at the eatry battled to get the road cleared.


Residents in the area affirmed that the road is usually busy in the evening time as customers come in their numbers to purchase their meals, coupled with the fact that the area is densely populated.

Man kills himself, two others in Imo

The Imo State Police Command, in eastern Nigeria, has confirmed the death of three persons at Akokwa community in Ideato Local Government Area on Friday. DSP Andrew Enwerem, the Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the incident said others sustained injuries. He explained that an unidentified man, said to be from the northern part of Nigeria, had run amok and killed a girl and a woman and thereafter killed himself. He said some aggrieved youths immediately went for reprisal attacks, leading to some other persons sustaining various degrees of injuries. Enwerem said the Commissioner of Police, on receiving reports of the the incident, deployed anti-riot policemen who stopped the incident from spreading further. “Report to police showed that a yet to be identified northerner ran amok at Akokwa community and used weapons to attack and kill a girl and a woman and thereafter killed himself’’, he said.
