Rufai, Ikpeba play final game for Keshi

Former Nigerian internationals, Peter Rufai and Victor Ikepba, on Thursda joined others in a novelty match between match between ex –internationals and All-Stars in honour of Late Stephen Keshi.
The match, organized by the Nigeria Football Federation, the Edo State Football Association and the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, also featured ex-Super Eagles players, including Mutiu Adepoju, Austin Eguavoen and Uche Okechukwu.
Rufai, Adepoju, Eguavoen, Ikepba, Okechukwu and Keshi were part of the Nigerian squad that lifted the African Nations Cup trophy in 1994.
The match ended 1-1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, where Keshi played many matches for the New Nigeria Bank FC.

I Won’t Represent Nigeria Again If Things Are Not Done Differently

Nigeria's weightlifter Maryam Usman has alleged that Nigeria is not ready to win Olympic medals. In her words: ''I am proud to have represented my country Nigeria and also proud to have represented my family.'' ''Even though I may not have really done what I planned to do. I appreciate God for making me go through the competition injury-free.'' ''So, that I think is the ultimate; I really thank God. The competition was fine. I really don’t talk about it because it makes me so emotional''.'' Reacting to claims that Nigerian athletes do well when they prepare well, Usman said ''I disagree with that.
