Iyabo Ojo Slams People Criticizing Toyin Aimakhu Over #SaveMayowa Campaign


Popular actress Iyabo Ojo has lashed out at Nigerians taking shots at Toyin Aimakhu over the Save Mayowa debacle.


She opined that Toyin was only trying to lend a helping hand and should not be blamed for the turn of events that have ensued.

In a video posted on Instagram, Iyabo stood 100 percent behind Toyin Aimakhu while calling on other Nigerian celebrities to not let this case stop them from engaging in humanitarian efforts to help the sick and the needy whenever someone in need of helps springs up again.

Man kills himself, two others in Imo

The Imo State Police Command, in eastern Nigeria, has confirmed the death of three persons at Akokwa community in Ideato Local Government Area on Friday. DSP Andrew Enwerem, the Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the incident said others sustained injuries. He explained that an unidentified man, said to be from the northern part of Nigeria, had run amok and killed a girl and a woman and thereafter killed himself. He said some aggrieved youths immediately went for reprisal attacks, leading to some other persons sustaining various degrees of injuries. Enwerem said the Commissioner of Police, on receiving reports of the the incident, deployed anti-riot policemen who stopped the incident from spreading further. “Report to police showed that a yet to be identified northerner ran amok at Akokwa community and used weapons to attack and kill a girl and a woman and thereafter killed himself’’, he said.
