See What Daddy Showkey Regrets Today


Veteran Nigerian gala singer, John Asiemo popularly known as Daddy Showkey has pointed out what seems to be his major regret as a musician.

In a recent chat with the media; Showkey who did not conclude his secondary education as he ventured into the music world early, revealed that not going to school is one major thing he regrets as he'd like to have a PhD.

 See what he said below;

‘It is education. When I see musicians who are graduates, I am proud of them. I like to have PhD too.
Though my mother was a teacher, she still gave me the freedom to do what I wanted to do. But given another chance, I would like to take education seriously. I would have finished my secondary and university education before going into music’.

 ‘I have so many people depending on me at the moment. Helen Paul and I even talked about it recently and she encouraged me to go back to school. But the truth is that I feel my children will continue from where I stopped’.

I Won’t Represent Nigeria Again If Things Are Not Done Differently

Nigeria's weightlifter Maryam Usman has alleged that Nigeria is not ready to win Olympic medals. In her words: ''I am proud to have represented my country Nigeria and also proud to have represented my family.'' ''Even though I may not have really done what I planned to do. I appreciate God for making me go through the competition injury-free.'' ''So, that I think is the ultimate; I really thank God. The competition was fine. I really don’t talk about it because it makes me so emotional''.'' Reacting to claims that Nigerian athletes do well when they prepare well, Usman said ''I disagree with that.
